This blog is far from dead. I hope.

Sure it might look like a dead blog. All the pictures are gone, there hasn’t been a post for over a month, not a lot of people read it anyway. But that’s about to change in a very very very small way.

The trouble with being someone like me, who loves to write, and loves to explore, and loves to spend time outside, is that I can very often find myself alone. Writing is a very solo activity, as can be living in a van, working temporary jobs, and chasing peaceful time outside away from loud noises. Where it becomes a trouble is when you consider that social interactions are incredibly important to me.

They are important to me having fun, important to my mental health, and important to the type of work I am trying to do on this planet. So engaging in only solo activities is not going to work for me.

Therefore I have been working for some time on coming up with a project that, in pursuing, allows me to become closer to the people I love, and not farther from them.

What I have come up with for now is a sort of interview series, where I send the same list of questions to various people I enjoy who live across the country, and post their responses on this site. The project is called 10 Questions, and it has three goals.

  1. For me to get to know my friends, new or old, a little better.

  2. To show you how great some of these people that I’ve met are.

  3. To give you some inspiration for questions to ask the people in your life, in the hopes that they lead to fun and exciting conversations.

That last goal is part of a much larger project I am working on, and I won’t go into much detail here.

But for now, I hope you enjoy 10 Questions.
