I write this, not as an entry in this blog, but more as a public service announcement.

There was an incident that occurred recently. In an attempt to clear storage on my Wix account, I accidentally deleted all of the photos I had saved on various blog entries. I thought I was only deleting the stored photos, and the photos on the published blogs would be safe, but I was wrong.

This bothered me greatly, as I had made my blog into the primary location for many of the photos from my recent trips. The photos still exist somewhere on my phone, so not all is lost, but it would take considerable effort to put them all back into their respective posts. And even if I were to go through the trouble, I would have to re-publish each post, which would alter the order of the blogs when listed on the site, and they might not all end up in chronological order.

Finally, I was upset because each post requires a photo to go along with it, or else it will display a missing image, and that would ruin the aesthetic. I am in the process of uploading a single image to apply to all the posts within a certain category within my site (i.e. one image for all of Blog 1, one for all of Blog 2, one for Essays, and so on), but even that is taking some time.

So for the time being, that is why there are far fewer images on this page than there once was.

Of course, all of this hardly matters, as I wasn’t quite sure what the future of this blog was. But now I do. Or now I have a better idea than I did in previous weeks. And I will explain it all to you, as best I can, in a future post.
